BAIT and Diadora come together for their first collaboration on the classic N9000 model, dubbed “Notti Veneziane”. BAIT was invited to the Diadora headquarters in Caerano di San Marco to design a tribute to highlight Italy’s quality tastes for premium materials and pure craftsmanship. BAIT drew inspiration from the countless beautiful restaurants and cafes, historic buildings and canals, tapestries, and masquerade carnival colors from an evening tour of Venice, birthing the Bait x Diadora N9000 “Notti Veneziane” or “Venetian night.”
BAIT made it the highest priority to design an all Italian-made shoe, choosing premium leathers from Italian tanneries. Premium materials of rich Italian augusta and abricot leather are utilized for underlays, while the cow leather with snake-skin corrugation, frame the upper. The snake-skin corrugation is made to age with more wears, revealing the snake-skin texture from the premium cow leather. Italian nubuck pull-tabs with brand logo debossing are introduced to the heel and tongue, stamped with the certified Made in Italy Diadora button. As a lasting nod to the beautiful country, the sands of Italy have been mixed into the sole as a souvenir from the Italian made collaboration.
The Notti Veneziane comes with four lace options; Italian plum leather laces and midnight navy leather, waxed rope, and velvet laces, while a BAIT and Diadora gold foil impression brand the insoles. The shoes retail for $220. Very limited quantities will be available on a first come first serve basis on Saturday January 9th at all 7 BAIT chapter stores. The shoes will be available in US MENS sizes 4 through 12, 13, and 13.5. The shoes run about a half size large.
