In November 1993, the Wu-Tang Clan dropped their debut effort, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The album spawned classic tracks like “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M.,” eventually reached platinum status, and became one of the most highly regarded hip-hop efforts of all time. Today the Wu-Tang Brand partners with HUF to create a limited-edition capsule collection in celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary. The collection is comprised of five pieces: a football jersey, strapback hat, two pairs of jaquarded socks, and a special colorway of the HR-1 sneaker. All are united by a gritty black and gold color scheme, inspired by the group’s original logo.
The football jersey commemorates the group with various details, including embroidered patches to reference the anniversary and “Protect Ya Neck.” The hat compliments that design with a Wu-Tang logo pattern over the chino twill, plus a metal H on the front. The Plantlife socks are covered in a similar pattern on the jacquard knit and is offered in two colors; black-based and gold-based. Finally, the HR-1 provides an edgy sneaker choice, boasting rugged boot-like design cues, gold speckles, debossed Wu-Tang branding, and album artwork on the insoles.
The HUF x Wu-Tang Brand Capsule Collection will be available March 1 in-store at BAIT Diamond Bar and online at BAITme.com.
