BAIT x Kidrobot Dunny Series 2013 – Artist Signing Event with Scribe
Kidrobot’s newest Dunny series is set to launch next week and BAIT has the perfect way for fans to celebrate – hanging out with one of the renowned artists that contributed to it!
Donald Ross, aka “Scribe,” will be at the BAIT store in Diamond Bar on June 15 – the day after the much-anticipated Dunny Series 2013 hits shelves. The celebrated graffiti artist and muralist contributed two figures to the set (one of which is an extremely limited variant). He’ll be hanging out at BAIT from 2PM until 4PM to sign figures and chat with fans.
Scribe is an established artist that has painted toys, walls, paper, canvas, and whatever else he’s been able to get his hands on. He often incorporates humor and play to covey serious messages that touch on personal integrity, the attainment of knowledge, and adventure. His work draws upon personal iconography, biblical and fairytale references, inspiration from old animation, and metaphor. He is currently the Art Director at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where he has handled everything from graphic design to four murals around the metro to a large-scale flooring project.
He joins thirteen other artists in the new Dunny series, which will officially launch on June 14. The set of 20 vinyls invite collectors to take the road less traveled and experience a strange new world. Artists including Andrew Bell, Scott Tolleson, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Julie West, and more contribute an exciting series of fantastical, eccentric, and demented designs.
Like usual, the series will be sold in blind boxes – some of which contain rare variants. The series will be available at the BAIT store and BAITme.com next Friday – see if you can track down his figure in time for his in-store appearance!
